Recently we have begun receiving calls from individuals residing in Canada who have received phone calls from persons stating that they are from Microsoft and/or PC Geeks.
These callers state that they have been monitoring the individual's PC and that they are infected with a virus or have some other symptom.
They then attempt to get the individual to give them access to their PC.
We all know where things go from there...
PC Geeks WILL NOT call an individual directly
unless they already have one of our Managed Service Plans.
PC Geeks is located in Columbus, Ohio, USA and does no business outside the US.
PC Geeks provides IT services to small to medium sized businesses ONLY.
We are sincerely sorry that there are individuals out there that have attempted to take advantage of you. Please report your situation to your local Better Business Bureau, police department, and/or government official. Feel free to have them contact us at the number above for further information.
